CT in 'Time Agent Series III' |
August 01 2010 |
It has been confirmed that Christopher Thomson is guest-starring in the third series of the popular online show, Time Agent.
The producer and co-star, Jaime Carroll, revealed a third series was commissioned in late 2009 on the social-networking web site, Twitter. Not too soon after, Billy Treacy - the lead writer and director for the series - along with Jaime Carroll, spoke to Christopher Thomson about an upcoming role.
"I've been asked many times to be in various productions, and for this, I had to say 'Yes'!" Christopher told us this week.
Billy Treacy also said "We couldn't have picked anyone better for this particular role. Chris has been so enthusiastic about being in Time Agent, showing more dedication than anyone ever has even before filming!"
Christopher Thomson is playing the series villain, called the Executive. "I play the most sinister being that Agent Liam, Mortis and Robin Turner have ever encountered! He is a ruthless, suave, and complete lunatic! If you think you've seen the worse in the previous series, your jaw will drop far for what's yet to come!"
More details are to be revealed in the Time Agent Magazine released this week.
Filming is to take place later this month. More details will be released in due course.

'Today's Fugitives' further casting info |
April 30 2010 |
From a recent YouTube video, Christopher Thomson has revealed further casting information for Today's Fugitives. On enquiring further, Christopher gave more details.
Actor and writer, Alex Matthews, is to play Dr. Jim Reagan, a forensic examiner. Chris stated "Reagan isn't an ordinary forensic examiner. He's very sarcastic, and doesn't seem to get along with Walker - given he's probably too serious to put up with. Alex was perfect casting for it, and a change from his serious work."
Actor and YouTuber, Allan Rafferty, popularly known from the WellBillt series, Time Agent - is to play Gareth Hynes. Chris also stated, "Hynes is a key part of the story. Although only a cameo appearance briefly in the film, he is very significant. I've wanted to work with Allan at some point, and it's fantastic to have him on board - even for a cameo!"
It has also been reported that, unlike the previous drama Today's Officers, the drama will be directed solely by Nicholas Miles.
Chris confirmed this and stated, "Nick asked me if he could direct something for a change, as I do have a habit of commandeering my own work! But from directing [Doctor Who] The Ultimate Conflict, I agreed it was best to take it easy.
"Nick is a good director, and as we both worked on Today's Officers, he knows what the directorial aim is, and will do a fantastic job! I can just relax and worry about my acting!"
Filming is due to commence later this year.

Look Who's back... once more! |
February 26 2010 |
Three years after the production for Doctor Who - The Final Adventure began, Christopher Thomson returns to the role as the heroic Time Lord in a two-part special YouTube release.
The episode, entitled The Edge of Retribution, features the Doctor facing an old enemy in a world-ending paradox. The episode also co-stars, friend and old partner in fan productions, Benji Clifford. Although casted, it is not clear who Clifford is to be playing.
We interviewed Christopher Thomson briefly regarding the episode:
What inspired the idea of making another episode, given your departure in The Final Adventure?
"This is an adventure planned purely for Benji [Clifford]. He worked on my series back in 2006, and has wanted to return - but he was mainly focusing on his music career. We acted opposite each other all those years ago, and we wanted to again."
Given you announced you were stopping fan productions, what encouraged you to make this episode?
"Well... after announcing my departure, Benji wanted to be in a fan film again. Awkward really. I'm only making it for Benji. It's mainly a final outing for me as the Doctor, and a nice bit of fun for Benji to return to fan films."
How does this affect the continuity of The Final Adventure and The Ultimate Conflict?
"It's an episode set before The Final Adventure, and after my 2006 series. The Doctor's companion, Gary, was murdered, leaving the Doctor depressed and darker - hence the slight facial hair. I wanted to play the Doctor in a new way before I hang up the blazer and costume for the last time."
Any final words on the production? Hints? Plot lines?
"Let's see. The Doctor is stuck in a paradox, where he witnesses the Earth die around him, then has to arrive an hour previously to prevent the events occuring. But he faces an enemy in an emotional battle. The enemy isn't a secret, but will be revealed in due course.
"I'm looking forward to it. It should be fun to make. It's not exactly a big epic phenomenon, but more of a fun adventure."
The Edge of Retribution commences filming later this year in Bexhill-On-Sea. |

February 22 2010 |
YouTuber, Christopher Thomson, confirms he is now working on a book to be published over the course of this year.
On speaking to Chris, he revealed the following:
"I'm very well-known for my rants about... well... everything! But people tend to laugh at them more than take them seriously. It's nice to know that my anger and frustration is hilarious to people! So I thought, I have a comical premise now... so I might as well write the rants down.
"People have said that I am a good writer, and given I can publish my own book on this website - without having to write to official big-shot publishers - then why shouldn't I write one?
"I am very excited to be a published author, it was something I wanted to be at a young age, and now it's finally happening."
The book, entitled My Freedom of Speech is being written and published under Lulu.com for release later this year. |

"I'm looking forward," says Miles |
February 15 2010 |
|
Nicholas Miles, star of Today's Officers and Doctor Who - The Ultimate Conflict, talks briefly to us in regards to the upcoming sequel, Today's Fugitives. He claims to be "looking forward" to the production.
"I'm looking forward to doing Today's Fugitives, as it's something new. As a small low budget group we rarely do sequels, but the reception of Today's Officers has really shown that a sequel is wanted, and it will be nice to return to that familiar character. The script, I feel, is really true to the original and keep fans interested."
Filming will commence later this year. |

The Ultimate Conflict is the final final adventure!
|
February 14 2010 |
|
YouTuber, actor, writer and director Christopher Thomson speaks exclusively about the production of the acclaimed Doctor Who Fan Film The Ultimate Conflict.
"The Ultimate Conflict is a sequel. A follow-on from the events of The Final Adventure, that I made back in 2007 and 2008. We have a new Doctor, coping with his regeneration aftermath - along with the mystery of where his companion disappeared to during the transformation.
"This film originally wasn't going to happen. The Final Adventure was to be the conclusion to my fan films, but given the popularity - I had to continue!"
During 2009, there were rumours that production was going to stop abruptly due to a huge lack of enthusiasm. Chris had this to say:
"I really wanted to stop. I'm not a fan of Doctor Who as I once was, and I began to dislike it. My original work was being ignored because of The Ultimate Conflict, and I hated it. Only after watching the BBC episodes, did my friend and I plan on making a short episode this year - I said, 'Fine... but no more!'
"This is why I've decided that this will be the last proper fan film I direct. The Ultimate Conflict is the final final adventure!"
The Ultimate Conflict is in production, and a release is planned in November this year. |

Cops and robbers... again!
|
February 13 2010 |

|
After the success of the YouTube-released comedy drama, Today's Officers, Christopher Thomson and Nicholas Miles are reuniting as the bumbling duo, Clifford and Walker, in a sequel for release in 2011.
The sequel, entitled Today's Fugitives, will feature Clifford and Walker in a new comical scenario. The writer and co-director, Christopher Thomson, had this to say:
"I had a lot of fun making the first film. As the outtakes would show, we just mucked around the whole time - and enjoyed it! There have been so many times that I've been filming and just wanted it to end, because it was difficult working with people, or technical issues, or just because it was serious work. But with this, it was fun, enjoyable and I definately wanted to do it again!
"The script is being written, and almost finished shockingly! The story is more of an adventure, but the seriousness is balanced nicely with Clifford and Walker's usual comical moments.
"I am really looking forward to returning to play Clifford, eating cookies and talking in a bizarre accent! I can't wait to get started on production later this year!"
Today's Fugitives will commence filming later in 2010. |
